ideas for weekends

We are running out of ideas for weekends..
Ikea is always a good place to deposit them for 1 hr of fun while we shop and drink coffee

Parkway parade again.. yes we are really running out of ideas..
But they dun seem bored.. There is fun everywhere out there!

New ideas for fun at home
He is the King of Fishes as he calls himself

Taking turns to be king/superman/King of fish..
Well, at least those costumes from previous performance and fairy tale parties come in handy on a quiet weekend afternoon when we have nothing better to do..

Family fun.. 3D movies!

Look at those engrossed looks..
This is our simple life, our simple weekend, finding joy out of simple activities

SPizza

brandon does not fancy pizza
Hence we went with the younger one!
Happy to have a meal of his own, complete with cranberry juice and ice cream!

Starting to feast on his very own pizza!

Our simple weekend

Dinner at East Coast, and some randon activities after that

Nope we did not pay for the ride, just having fun and taking photos.. haha

But still as happy!

The 3 boys...

Tobi

A very happy moment for Brian, tks to Auntie Paula!

Gathering at Paula's house...Trying to make friends with Tobi

Tobi seems scared of the 2 super friendly boys
Non stop touching and playing.. and the first thing Brian said when he woke up from his nap at home was "where is tobi", followed by walking all over our house to look for Tobi.. looking a tad disappointed that she is not here.

I find this quite comical...

Brian and his idol

Brian wants to be everything his daddy is..
even when he sleeps

Brandon's work

Performance in school to showcase their speech and drama lesson..

One of his favourite activities recently...Colourful and cheery!

He created his own Bingo game. Each of us gets a paper with different words of colours on it.
Then he will call out the colours and we have to tick. And the best part is, he will look out and make sure each of us wins one time.. to be fair to all.

His own snake and ladder game.. i have to play this with him everyday. It took him a while to realise the numbers shld be the other way round.. but nevertheless he enjoyed his own game

The 2nd part to the snake and ladder game is the price station. I have to pay $1 and put it on the top left hand corner before i can get my prize from the 4 choices below!! Good business ideas start from a young age..

Dim Sum

One of our favourite dim sum place now.. at I12 Katong

Sunday brunch with 2 hungry monsters

I am glad the 2 of them has learnt to enjoy dim sum too.. and even ask for it!
brandon is more conservative with food.. while brian likes to try new things.. but they both love dim sum! so do we!

Never bored of Parkway Parade.. yes, i think he is getting abit too big for the kiddy rides now..

Things that make them happy

Cakes at the club..luckily there are always new flavours and options to keep them excited.
The durian flavour for Brian

brandon's all time favourite choc cake.. all polished up!

Bubbles...
These are little treats during their recovery period... to make them happy
Brandon's school called to say he has HFMD, and he was segregated when Por Por went to pick him up
At the same time, Brian was also segregated and was sleeping alone in the dark room.. and we had to bring him back as well. Brandon was so conscious of infection control that when i kissed his hand, he immediately pulled back and shouted " later u have spots in your mouth!"...Luckily it was just a throat infection and not HFMD, but nevertheless a terrible period for them. Brian had it worse... My poor little boys...

Brandon wrote a book

Brandon did this, and told me "I wrote a book"
The book contained pictures of different types of trains, all drawn by him

This is the end of the story...
And later on, he asked me how to spell author, and I saw him write "the author is Brandon Chan"
And he was pretty proud of it!

NIght cycling at East Coast Park

It was nice cycling at night after our dinner at ECP
Brian did well, and learnt to control his speed down the slope, and complained that his legs were very tired after that!

Nice place to cycle, and we cycled one round here

An ice cream at the beach after his work out!

Colour carnival

Off we go to the Colour Carnival at Lorna Whiston!
Brandon's class is supposed to be dressed in red and Brian wanted to dress in the same colour, and so we all wore red!
First stop: the boys using the coupons, counted their own "money" and bought their own food.
That is Ms Shanan Mae the principal

Enjoying the fruits which they bought .. right next to the beach

The thrift store which we contributed some items too
This is the first time the boys appreciated the term "donation"

Christian having his face painted.
Brandon was not interested, he said "very dirty, what if cannot wash away"

The girls doing nail manicure!

Then off we went to the Lorna Whiston playground for the other activities!
THis is Brandon's favourite, searching for marbles among the balls within the stipulated time, and yes, he was really good at this!

Having a chance at throwing into the containers

Brian's turn

Brian's favourite, throwing balloons filled with water at the clown!

Scooping the ducks to make a complete family, the teacher went for a performance, and Daddy was a stand-in, but apparently Brandon was not very happy about that.
All in all, they enjoyed themselves. After all, it was something they had been anticipating and talking about a the past week!!!We had great fun!

Playtime at home

The brothers spent some time playing with each other, with no fighting and I tot this was worth a photo..haha

And they moved on to the next game and again spent the whole night playing peacefully while I was alone at home resting..
Peaceful night :)

Fun at the airport

Lunch at Aston's, then to the playground!

Brian running wild

Fun! Fun! Fun!

A different kind of fun!

Some quiet activity at the art corner

The boys enjoyed themselves!!!
