Mid Autumn Festival

I dislike school projects .. this is not something working mothers will welcome and i think the kids are too young to do this on their own .. quite obviously. Many parents refused to do but i decided that i shld not disappoint them.
So these are the 2 lanterns that we made together

Started off not knowing what we wanted, and along the way Brian figured out that we shld make an ice cream stall!
Most of it was his idea and tks to them having the habit of keeping "rubbish".. we got the wrapper for the ice cream they ate and Brian wanted to use the Gardenia bread packaging..

Brandon's lantern :)
The feathers from the chatek
although this was a competition, i was explaining to them that there are so many other lanterns that are so nice and that not everyone can get a price and they have accepted it quite well.. but who knows.. both got consolation prize!!!
Wahaha.. wat a surprise!

Happy Mid Autumn Festival to everyone.. hope u have enjoyed urs!

Our first and 2nd attempt

Bought 2 live crabs from the wholesale market
Had a messy time trying to kill it

The cleaning process... not as bad as i thought

Add ginger, rice wine and tada... the end result.. sweet and nice ;)

2nd trip to the wholesale market

First killing job --> the lobster

They were alseep and easier to kill

More difficult to kill the crab. Daddy underestimated them and got caught by the pincer!!!

But the end result -- great chilli crab!!!
So proud of ourselves ;p

Gin Khao

nice Thai restaurant just next to their school

the boys spotted this dish of watermelon fried rice which turned out to be very good!

Nice green curry with lots of chicken and ingredients

Generous portions of great tasting dishes!!!

We will definitely come back again!

Last but not least.. Brandon requested for the cake of the day although we were really quite full!!
Way to go boy!

Backstage Cafe

Visited the Backstage Cafe while i was on leave for one week
Decided to bring the kids back here
Nice spacious cafe wigh high ceiling.. not crowded and comfortable to chill out in..

Enjoying the details and decorative items of the cafe

Nice coffee

The all day big breakfast

Old enough to enjoy cafes.. how great it is..

Sending Gong Gong and Por Por off at the airport

Brandon's Sticker Art

Bought a file to keep his collection

His cover page

Stickers from Australia

Very random

More stickers from Australia

Nice stickers from The paper stone

This came as a surprise because he insisted on doing one of the trophy shops and we did not have such stickers. So i took a nap and he actually completed it by himself without much stickers!

This is one of my personal favourite.. again leftover stickers from Australia!

Then we ran out of stickers.. and this is what u get

Still has not replenished the sticker stock. The secret garden inspired by the colouring book that i bought.

How can we not have something about money right?

And lastly done in the restaurant.. jsut beacuse we read about the Titanic..
Hope he takes good care of these artwork of his.. would love to keep it well and show him again when he grows up

Spore Children's society carnival at sentosa

Went straight to the carnival after their swimming class
First stop: aiming the flying arrow
2nd Stop: Loop the bottles

3rd stop: throwing the eggs into the coloured egg holder
This games looks like something Brandon had created before!

4th Stop: 2 player game to land the ping pong ball in the correct coloured hole
landed in the wrong coloured hole but got a prize anyway

The country eraser game..
This game took really long as to be able to win, the WHOLE of the eraser must be on top of the other eraser.. not merely overlap...

Pick up sticks..

and finally it got too hot to continue playing
Brian chose this spot for a picnic
We rested here while brandon and daddy went to get nasi lemak

On the way back to the carpark.. played another game of the spinning wheel
And look how happy they were with their wins...

Had lunch with Leanne and then we decided to spend the rest of the day in Sentosa

Who doesn't like Hersheys..

and who doesn't like candylicious
Brandon's main aim in the shop is to look at all the things here so he can make an artwork

This bear really looks like how Brandon will colour his bear

Not letting go of any of the rainbow coloured stuff

And more rainbow coloured stuff

and MORE!!!

Even without buying a single thing from the shop.. they had enuff fun

and perhaps a bit too much fun...

Refreshed after their nap... off we go again!

Acting like tourists..

And finally when we are home.. they were so busy unpacking from their goodie bags..
And look at all these things!
Thanks to Paula for the chance to have such a fun packed day!
Thought is was really hot and Brian looked like he was melting away as he just recovered from his week of fever and cough..it was obvious that they boys had lots of fun!!!
