| Wat Phra That Doi Suthep The story of this temple is that the King places a relic on a white elephant and released it into the jungle. The elephant is said to have climed up Doi Suthep, stopped, trumpeted 3x, then dropped dead. This is the site where the temple was constructed. Gotta climb 309 steps up if you do not take the lift |
