Work + Fun at Korea

Day 1: Incheon Airport waiting for the shuttle Bus to Sheraton Grand Walkerhill Hotel

Reached the hotel at the hilltop

Couldn't wait to dump out things in the hotel and take the shuttle bus to our first stop

First stop: Itaewon Tourist District
The shuttle bus stopped outside this nice little boutique hotel

On the street of Itaewon, which is a unique place in Seoul where u can meet pple of diverse nationalities and culture

I love the slow pace of our tour, appreciating little shops along the way

More shops..

Lunch Time: We stopped by a small local shop for our lunch
Did not know how to order, had to point at the menu on the wall
But it tasted great! Daddy enjoying his Korean ginseng chicken and I ordered my all time favourite Tofu hotpot

Satisfied!!!

Continued our leisurely walk after lunch
Stopped by a nice and interesting café with lots of old toys

Nice little stationery shop

Supposed to have pirated branded goods along this street, but we did not see any
The closest Daddy could find was the Ali Baba shop!

So we decided we shld proceed to our next stop
Stopped by the 7-11 equivalent and rested there while waiting for the free shuttle bus to our next stop!

2nd stop: Myeong-dong

It is equivalent to our Orchard Rd
In Myeong-dong, you can feel the vibrance and fashion sense of Korea.
And as u can see, we shopped till it was really dark and still could not finish combing the place

Dinner Time: Found this place which was highly recommended on the internet!

These are the only 4 things they have on the menu, seriously...

But it was one of our best meal in Korea!!!
Really really delicious and no wonder they could attract such a crowd and forever long queue with only 4 dishes!
Luckily we came early, by the time we left the place, the queue was unimaginable!

By night time, little shops are set up by the streets and it came alive!!!

Street food

And more street food!

It had been such a long time since we eat and drink and have a leisurely walk around with no stress!!!

Stalls on the streets like our pasar malam in the heart of the shopping area!

Cannot resist these... there are so many nice girly things...
But I have no Girls who can own these!!!

Namdaemun market, the largest Korean traditional market, also functioning as a wholesale market
We were a bit late, and most of the shops were closing, so we just had a quick walk around and decided to move on to our last stop for the day

Had a hard time finding our way here to Mt Namsam
The taxi driver could not really communicate with us, left us somewhere and we had to take a bus up!

Finally made it there... Seoul Tower at Mt Namsam

Already very tired, but had to walk up the hill...

But it was a nice sight in the nice Autumn weather

To lock our love here...

And enjoyed the night view before heading back to the hotel....
Very fruitful day 1....
