Art lesson II

The 2nd art class at the pavillion downstairs
Starting to design their butterflies

A leave flew down and Brian wanted to use it to decorate the butterfly

Yes, and it is supposed to be a mother's day card. He wrote the words all by himself :)

Brandon's butterfly card on the left. his very own idea and choice of colours and materials.
But guess which one won the first prize!!!
Wahaha.. it is Brian's butterfly!!!
Brandon was expecting a prize as he got one the last lesson, but it was a good learning experience for him .. to accept disappointments and know that we cannot be winners all the time..

Going up to read out his message to mum..
brian was too shy to do so

This ended with story telling..
Good way to spend our sunday morning..

Artwork display

brandon's art piece which won him a little prize is finally displayed.
The proud little boy pointing to his artwork on top, and was a little disappointed that he was not tall enough to point at it accurately..
Great job brandon!

The terrible virus

Recently, Gong Gong has been down with the virus, then as he was recovering, i was down
And of cos these 2 boys are not spared. The recent public holidays were all spent at home giving them paracetamol, mucosolvan and zyrtec, and repeating the cycle again and again. Luckily i stocked up enough at home...

It also gaven me the chance to feel like a mum taking care of them and cooking healthy food for them
Brandon has been a little more health conscious recently since his visit to the HPB. It was a really tiring period of time for me taking care of these 2 sick boys while i was barely recovering from my own virus infection, but it was also one of the very satisfying moments cooking mee sua and the above for them and seeing them pinch food from the plate while i was still cooking, and eventually finising it up. Brandon subsequently asked me to cook the same mee sua again cos it is delicious.. haha i guess only my boys can appreciate my substandard cooking. Come to think of it, dun we all find out mother's cooking the best..

Mother's Day 2014

Being a mum turns my life upside down and messes it up completely but there has been no regrets..
The 2 boys brought me wonderful moments from the very start of their life inside me.. from the first heartbeat i heard at the gynae's clinic, to first image on ultrasound, to their each and every little milestones achieved, and now their conversation with me and their little everyday acts... these might be small things to others but it means a world to me..
I gotta thank the 2 boys for letting me experience these wonderful moments in my life
I once reflected on my role as a mum and felt that if i only had one child, i would be able to give him the best. While now my energy and efforts are divided and it drains me out, i might be giving them lesser. Like we have less energy to bring them to the different classes etc..(now we have stopped Shicida, music). we have less energy to do more meaningful things with them without them spending half the time fighting and us spending half our energy stopping the fight and scolding them. But as i see them interact and enjoy each other's company, i wonder if they would also be less happy if not for each other's company. And i could never imagine a life either of them. They are so different and yet so wonderful in their own ways. I hope they will grow up to be close and a good support for each other and of cos to continue to enjoy each other's company... that would be the most rewarding mother's day gift

opening his first bday present
While at shopping, he told me to call gong gong, as he was upset and believed that gong gong has forgotten to buy him a present
Reached home to a pleasant surprise.. exactly what he had wanted!

The happy boy!

Getting ready for our mini celebration dinner

The bday boy started first

Enjoying his bday dinner watching his favourite show on TV

Brian's 2nd bday cake from Island creamery. He specifically told me NOT to bring this to school because Daddy loves ice cream hence we have to keep it at home for Daddy. Then one day when we went to order the cake and had ice cream at the same time, Brian told me "see.. I told you Papa love ice cream.. right?

Happy 4th Bday to Brian!! Hope you stay this happy and healthy!

All ready to blow the candles!

Pics with the grandparents

Our little happy family

I can cut the cake by myself!

Delighted with his presents.. all smiles!!

Big presents for a small boy

Immediately tried out his present. Part of the reason for liking the present so much is because he can drive like daddy
He kept asking me"is this like pap"? does papa also drive like that?"

Brandon having a go at it. He was a little upset that all the attention was on Brian and was upset that he needed to wait for quite a while before his own bday...

Happy Bday to Por Por

Brandon woke por por up early in the morning to give her the bday present which he bought with his "own money" He kept his own money in his money box, and agreed to give me his money to buy a present for Por Por which he chose himself too.

All dressed up in his new shirt from Little Big Club, complete with his helmet and toolbox

The 2 loves of my life..

Went for dinner at tambuan mas at Tanglin shopping center
