Mini Holiday D2 -- Legoland

Looking at the legoland map and planning our route

Legoland.. here we come..
We drove there as the shuttle bus from the hotel was fully booked
hot, hot and very hot... as u can see from the photo
Had to stand there and wait for a mini welcome performace to end before we could go in

First stop: Junior driving school

The fastest and most steady driver of the lot

The 2 best drivers ;) the rest were left behind.

2nd stop: driving the boat.. it was relaxing and great fun although it was hot

3rd stop: competition to put out the fire
we had to pump and pump to get the engines going, reach the house and pump again to spray water at the windows to extinguish the "fire" then drive back to the starting point. Very very energy consuming.. and hence no time and energy for pictures!

One of their favourite rides.. took it a few times..and enjoyed it despite the hot sun

luckily my job was to sit in the shade to take pictures

Look at the happy faces

Then off to the playground opposite the ride

Played for a short while as it was really too hot .. at least it was too hot for me

Went for lunch at the nearest restaurant as i cannot imagine walking further than that in the sun
rested for a while and repeatedly went on a ride into aircon tunnels playing shooting games.. i enjoyed the game the most because it is airconditioned!

Off to another aircon place.. the 4d show
It was not too bad to have water showering down on you and wind blowing on you after being in the hot sun for so long
brandon did not particularly enjoy the part with water showering down

I was already having a headache from the heat, and hence off we went to another aircon place to make lego cars.
brandon testing out his car on the slope

More lego games while i rested
I almost wanted to go back to hotel now...

But the 2 boys were having great fun.. very proud of their creation which they named "our legoland"

Had a train ride...

Repeatedly went for the horse ride while we rested and took pictures
Luckily it was a non peak period and there was not much of a queue
Spot Brian in the wilderness

There he is.. out of the wilderness

Meeting each other along the way

i have to stress that it is very hot..

One of the shops near the castle.. he calls himself a knight in shiny armour

In the castle

Happy prisoners with a busy police officer behind

Off to another aircon place for more lego activities

The miniland.. of cos we had to take a photo of this one

Another miniland

I personally enjoyed this ride the most.. and then my headache was gone as the heat went down and the wind blew on me while the water splashed at us during this fast ride

last ride for the day.. the train ride that brings u round the legoland
One last look at all the rides we had taken

Us on the train.. Brian fell asleep while on this ride

Picture with Mr lego before our last stop-- shopping at the lego land shop

It was pouring by the time we ended our shopping
Bought ponchos and walked over to the mall opposide
had dinner at Old Town While Coffee, had ice cream while watching the world pass by
and bought snacks back to the hotel
That marks the end of the eventful day at Legoland!!!
I must say i personally enjoyed some of the rides and the boys had great fun despite the heat!
I could not imagine the queue during peak periods, as i already had to wait ab out 15-20 min for some of the more popular rides during this non peak season. And we were lucky as for some rides, the boys could go for it repeatedly ie 4-5 times without much of a queue!
